Clinical Notes
CURB-65 is a simple, validated bedside tool. For CURB-65 ≥3, use clinical judgment about ICU admission, as simple pneumonia severity scores may underestimate severity in immunocompromised patients.
Limitations: Does not account for social factors, oxygenation, or comorbidities beyond age. Consider PSI/PORT for a more comprehensive assessment.
