Predicted Mortality:
Sepsis-3 Criteria: Suspected infection + SOFA increase ≥2 from baseline = Sepsis. SOFA ≥2 with vasopressors + lactate >2 despite fluids = Septic Shock.

SOFA = Respiration + Coagulation + Liver + Cardiovascular + CNS + Renal (0–24)
Sepsis-3: Suspected infection + SOFA ≥2 point increase from baseline
Vasopressor doses in µg/kg/min (dopamine) or µg/kg/min (epinephrine, norepinephrine)
Sepsis-3: SOFA replaced SIRS criteria. Serial SOFA scores track clinical trajectory — improving scores suggest treatment response. Baseline SOFA assumed to be 0 in patients without pre-existing organ dysfunction.
