Clinical Note: First-line vasopressor for pediatric septic shock (PALS/SSC guidelines). Initial dose: 0.05–0.1 mcg/kg/min; titrate to age-appropriate MAP target. Central access strongly preferred; peripheral only for immediate resuscitation. Consider hydrocortisone for fluid/vasopressor-refractory shock. Epinephrine is an acceptable alternative in cardiac dysfunction.
