Overview
The Framingham Risk Score estimates 10-year risk of developing coronary heart disease. Based on the Framingham Heart Study using a point-based scoring system validated for adults aged 30–79.

Clinical Notes:
• Patients with established CVD or DM are automatically high risk — no calculation needed
• High risk (>20%): statin therapy recommended regardless of LDL
• Intermediate risk (10–20%): consider statin, lifestyle modification
• Reassess risk every 4–6 years in low-risk patients
