Clinical Notes: CKD-EPI 2021 is preferred over MDRD and the 2009 race-based equation. It is more accurate at higher GFR values. CKD staging requires confirmation over ≥3 months. eGFR should be used alongside albuminuria (ACR) for complete CKD classification.
