Total = A + B + C + D + D2 (range 0–7)
Key Point: All TIA patients warrant urgent evaluation regardless of ABCD² score. High-risk patients (score ≥4) should be hospitalised. Score validates only initial TIA risk — does not apply to recurrent events or minor stroke.
